After being arrested for more than 9 months, we wanted to go to some place where we get some relaxation, nice and safe place. We searched and found Marutham Village Resort.
If you would like to go for any place just to chill out, then Marutham is the best choice. First of all, the location itself will give you a nice feeling. Its located near farm fields and you will get fresh air. Staffs are really nice, they would love to have a chat with you and so humble. Their service is just awesome. They treat you like their family and you feel the place like your own home town.
Food is another important thing to be called out. If you are a non-veg, must try their lamb curry. Overall, we had a great 2 days break from our regular life. Thanks Marutham resort.

I have never felt satisfied completely staying in any other place. This is one of the kind place where the hospitality of the staff tops ,lot of activities that keeps you engaged. Loved the pump set bath, walking on farm , the pool and the best was the performance of artist. Can't explain the feel of watching them perform in front of ur eyes with so much energy and ecstasy they had in their eyes. Silambam ,karagattam , thappatam with explanation about the information behind the art made the kids enjoy the art and learn about our culture and tradition. The staffs were super friendly ,and were available to ur call anytime. Enjoyed the sunset near the farm sitting on the place like podium surrounded by grass. Just an amazing stay for a weekend.

The resort is an excellent setting to spend some quality time and reminiscence our village memories.
It's packed with lots of activities.
Rooms were neat and sufficient.
The food and service was simple, adequate and satisfactory.
Staff were down to earth and ensure the guests are comfortable and treated well during the stay. They don't go over board in that process. Their service felt genuine.

Marutham Village Resort is a very nice rural retreat. Tastefully decorated cottages and restaurant, poolside and activities made our stay enjoyable. Best part of the stay was the delicious food prepared lovingly by chef Mr Kumar and team of serving staff . Evening food kart gave a lovely ambience of street food in villages. The outdoor space with farmlands and animals was soothing and the night sky with nature’s light and sound show with lightening and thunder added a bit of excitement. Only constructive feedback for management is about bathrooms which need to be accessible and “elder friendly “ with handle bars and soap shelf and hooks to hang clothes outside of wet areas .
Overall , Marutham Village resorts was a lovely and memorable stay in Mammallapuram .

I happened to stay in this place as part of 2 day conference...
I just loved this place for the following reasons:
1. Its near to chennai but yet has lovely greenery and a super quiet place 🙂
2. The people are super courteous and friendly.. This makes a huge difference to your experience
3. The rooms and the entire place is beautifully designed. Kudos to the people behind this.
4. The food was consistently yummy. Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner.
5. You can choose this place for a quick family break.
6. You can either choose to sit and gaze the greenery around or get engaged with the activites organized by the resort people..
Overall, a great place to visit and plan for a quick getaway..

After a long lockdown period we are planned for a leisure stay in nearby resort. When I was searching internet I found this beutiful village ( marutham village resort). I impressed by the name itself which is based on Tamil culture. I've decided for 2night stay with my family from the day one to the end. We all mesmerized by their wonderful hospitality, the beauty is we didn't feel like hotel, instead felt like our own village. We all enjoyed had a lot of fun and loved the theme, pollution free natural atmosphere, beutiful infrastructure, fabulous designs, tasty fresh food, services, staffs friendliness, lot of activities etc.. I strongly recommend this resort to all. Especially kids will love it. Thank you marutham village for made our stay wonderful.

Awesome stay for a short family vacation ! Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Marutham. The staffs are really courteous, humble and so helpful.
Stay : The rooms are the typical Chettinad style and you have single villa which occupies 3 and family villa which can accommodate 6-8. There is also a single villa in the midst of paddy field. Very comfortable rooms
Food : Chettinad cuisine. Tasty and worth the price
Activities : This is the best part of the resort - you have cattle field , where you can engage with the cattle ( cow, ducks, goat) , pump set bathing , folk dance, pottery making class , morning paddy field walk
Overall this is an awesome place to be enjoyed with your family and kids would for sure love it ❤️ Thank you Marutham resorts for the wonderful memories ❤️

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Marutham vilaage resort, spacious rooms, beautiful pool, super friendly staff were top-notch. The location was perfect for kids with family,I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxin getaway.
We enjoyed the delicious food at the on-site restaurant, especially their food carts in the evening makes it more interesting with their delicious food,
The staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
The resort's unique feature of having a pumpset is very interesting for kids which gives them a real experience of a beautiful village, complementary breakfast with many varieties including millet items was a great addition."

One of the best 2 day vacations ever.. I have been to multiple resorts but Marutham is vera level.. the decor in itself is very nicely done to get the rustic village feel.. safety was top priority and swimming in the temple kulam pool was allowed in 1 hour slots and only one family group at a time.. the food was amazing, customized to your needs with local produce and ingredients and extremely affordable for that quality..kids loved the place and the feel.. now most importantly the service.. felt like royalty with a touch of coming back to your home town.. really thank the team at Marutham for a wonderful experience to end 2020 in a blissful fashion..

Today I attended a destination wedding in this resort. Surrounded by green paddy fields, with dark clouds looming, air literally pouring on our face, the wedding took place. From main ONR road a small diversion takes you to a small road where this resort is seen. A huge car parking space is provided besides there are even floors to get yourself dropped. Kolams, thoranams, mela thalam, paddy fields, chettinad architecture welcomed me to this resort. An old scooter, huge statue of Sri Natarajar, a pond and Kolu dolls inside the restraunant makes this resort a unique place. Food was indeed yummy. Rooms were spacious enough to accommodate. Services were great. The end of the resort is Bay of Bengal sea. A must visit resort in Chennai.

We celebrated our son Shrikar’s birthday at Marutham Village Resorts, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience for our entire family. The village-style ambience, open spaces, and greenery created such a calm and joyful atmosphere, perfect for kids and elders alike.
The staff were warm, supportive, and accommodating throughout the celebration. Children had ample space to run around and enjoy, while the elders felt relaxed and comfortable. It felt less like a commercial resort and more like a home rooted in tradition and nature.

We (a team of 15 family members) visited Marudham Village Resort on Feb 13, 2021 and stayed there for a day in their 3 bhk villa. We just reached home and couldn't wait to write this review. This place is designed very well (later I understood the MD of this resort himself is an architect) and it's excellent in all aspects. I don't wish to give spoilers and would like you to explore and have fun. Don't forget to ask Mr. Parthiban's assistance for guided field tour. He's one best tour guide you will see there. Also, Mr. Navin and Mr. Karthik from the Kitchen were extremely courteous and served us best food for the entire two days.
Strongly recommend this place for a budget friendly great experience.

A unique and memorable experience to last a lifetime. For city dwellers like me, it took me o the past of visiting mv relatives during my summer holidays to enjoy clean, calm and simple lifestyle. An innovative and real unconventional path to gain 5 stars !!. Azhagar , our activity lead, as his name implies was really the epitome of "beauty" when it came to customer service and attention to detail. What can I say about Naveen and rest of the staff at Amirtham restaurant, they can satisfy any culinary requirement with ease and a smile. They were like the genie from the bottle asking what our command was !! Customer Experience at its peak. Kudos to the management for this neat concept and making our holiday memorable.

Fantastic place close to the nature. Appreciations to the owners and the architect for creating a authentic village setup with modern facilities .
Service staff were very friendly and hospitable.
The chefs are a great asset to ur resort as we have enjoyed the food to the max. Usually when someone likes a dish we relish the 1st two or three bites or spoons but here we enjoyed the food and relished it thoroughly till the dishes were empty. The best food we had in our entire 5 day long trip to Chennai, Pondy and Mahabs
The place is so close to the nature and lovely activities for families to enjoy to the full

This place is beautiful. If you are someone from the city and wanted a day or two away from the city life this is your go to place ! . The architecture is a pleasure to the eyes . They have impeccable service . The staff are so kind and friendly . I want to specifically mention MR.PARAMESHWARAN who did an execellent job showing us around . The entire property was very clean . And due to Covid all staffs although not mandatory wore masks all the time. The food is freshly prepared. The chef actually calls and asks what we want for dinner. If you are staying here , a must try is this NATU KOZHI RASAM which is the most delicious soup I have had in a while. It’s a very family friendly place and has fun activities for the kids as well. It’s a complete village experience and a must visit ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Aesthetically designed resort that takes us back to our rich culture and a village atmosphere with lush green fields all around 😍 'Kovil kulam' themed swimming pool, pumpset 'kuliyal', rain fountain... A paradise for water lovers!! Plenty of open spaces to play your game or just idle around, bullock cart ride, pottery making and a whole lot of activities that keep both kids and adults engaged. Good food, economically priced and lots on offer for a day-outing!! Chose this resort after reading through positive reviews and ended up giving a detailed positive review myself 😁 Planning to book a cottage soon for an extended stay!! Highly recommended 👍

I had booked a 3 night stay for my parents as a surprise for my dad’s birthday and had no special requests.
I was pleasantly surprised about the service and the warm welcome the entire staff gave to my parents. They were overwhelmed with the love and care they received throughout the stay.
The manager and entire team put together a surprise birthday celebration for my dad with the resort guests and my parents thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
I am thankful for the memories they have created for me and parents! I am told that the food is excellent, the staff is kind, generous and always welcoming, the property is clean and that they host many activities through the day.
If you are in Chennai you must visit!!!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the hospitality and the service provided by the Marutham team. We went to the resort for a break from our usual stressful life.
The pros of the place
1. We were just awestruck with the location which is surrounded by fields, fresh breeze and a neat village setup.
2. The staffs were very courteous and they took care of us very well. 3. There were various activities inside the resort and we don't have to go out anywhere after getting to the resort we will literally have everything inside.
4. Awesomatic food where the milk, paneer and all other dairy products are directly from their cattle
Would definitely recommend this place for a weekend getaway or for some vacation with family for sure.

I am writing this review based on our one day stay at the best family resort in Mahaballipuram we have been to. A must visit place with friends and family. A very good hospitality and staffs are so down to earth. Enjoyed a lot being there for a day. The room, food and atmosphere was too good. The food was also so delicious.Sight seeing, bullock cart ride, early morning walks through the paddy field for lakeview, bath in the pumpset, waterfalls and swimming pool are really blissful. Also they have wide range of entertainment and fun activities for kids like drawing, potmaking, dancing, carrom and much more to pen. Events like karagaattam and other few village programs were so pleasant to watch and enjoyed alot. Guys, do visit this once atleast to enjoy the nature's beauty ..!! I highly recommend this place. Myself and my sister went to this resort which is in a very good place, peaceful, excellently maintained with superb service and most importantly constantly engaging the guests with varieties of activities. Budget friendly, neat and clean atmosphere with a village environment and lovely houses / rooms. Activities like pottery, various kids friendly games(even adults can play), pump set bathing, waterfall, swimming pool, farm walk, very good food, snacks in evening with a different kind of set up outside the restaurant, shows like karagattam, mayilattam, kokkkalinga attam, parai isai, dance, and customer engagement is awesome with great gestures. No negative points. Everything good and especially very safe for women. Had a very happy and peaceful time. Will definitely revisit whenever i get chance and i highly recommend this resort to everyone..
